Abdomen (n) Tiyan; sikmura  - Tiyan        =His pain in the abdomen is due  to overeating.
Abnormal (adj) di-karaniwan; di- normal - buang     = The beating of the patient's heart is abnormal.
Abolish  (v) Buwagin; itigil; alisin - Pahawa-on = They fought to abolish slavery in the land.
About (prep) tungkol sa; malapit sa; halos- Bahin ana =The sun is shining about the cloud.
Absent (adj.) wala; di-dumalo - wala ni tongha= The teacher is absent because she's sick.
Absorb (v) sipsipin; mawili nang lubos- gisopsop,gihigop= cotton will absord liquid fast.
Abuse (v) magmalabis: hamakin- Giaboso- =We should not abuse his kindness.
Accept (v) Tangapin; - gi dawat, dawaton =Please accept our apologies.
Accident (n) sakuna; aksidente-disgrascia,panghitabo =I hope no accident will occur during our travel
Acquaint (v) ipabatid : ipakilala - pahibalo; epahibalo = Please acquaint us of your plans the club.
Across (adv.) sa kabila- didto sa pikas = The school is just across the street from home.
Actual (adj.) tunay: totoo- tinuod, akto = We couldn't believe it was an actual happening.
Advise (v) payuhan: ipayo- tambagan,tambag= Teachers are there to advise students.
Afraid (adj.) takot: nag-aalala - hadlok: nahadlok = I am afraid I'll not pass the test.

Agree (v) sumang-ayon ; nisugot, = Let us  first agree on the place of picnic before the date.

Although (prep. or adv.) kahit- bisan =I said yes although I meant no.
Anemia (n) kakulanga sa dugo; kulang ug dugo= Iron is goo for people with anemia.
